How to play Flip Match
Flip Match is a memory pairs game: the concentration game played with a face-down deck. Every card has exactly one twin somewhere on the board. Turn one card over, then another: if they match they stay up, and if they do not they turn back over. Every new deal opens with a brief look at the whole board before the cards turn face down, and from there the only thing standing between you and a cleared board is remembering what you saw.
Every flip of a second card counts as one move, so the score to beat is not how fast you can click but how few cards you have to turn over twice.
Controls
- Touch or mouse: tap or click a card to flip it: that is the whole control scheme. It plays identically on a phone, a tablet and a desktop.
- The three buttons above the board switch between 4×3, 4×4 and 6×4, and New deal reshuffles at the current size.
Board sizes and best scores
Three sizes: 4×3 is 6 pairs and a warm-up, 4×4 is 8 pairs, and 6×4 is 12 pairs and a genuine working-memory load. The counters track moves, pairs found and elapsed time.
Your best is kept per board size, judged on moves first and time as the tie-break, so beating a record means playing more carefully rather than merely faster. Records live in this browser’s local storage on this device. Nothing is uploaded and there is no account.

What is a memory card game?
